News 8-13-07 THANK YOU VALDOSTA, GA! The band would like to thank each and every one of you who came out and helped make it a record-setting night at the Rockin' Rodeo in Valdosta, GA this past saturday night! A special thanks also goes out to those of you who we were told had to wait in line nearly an hour just to get in the bar. Be sure to check out all the pics from this show in the "Photos" section on the website. We look forward to seeing all of you again on Oct. 5th!
3-19-07 NEW FACE JOINS THE LUGGNUTS! The Luggnuts would like to welcome new guitarist Miki Diamond to the band. After numerous auditions, the band has finally found what we feel like is the so to say "missing link" to complete our line-up. Young, energetic, and with a stage presence second to none, Miki is definitely what we have been looking for. Be sure to welcome him to the family next time the band is in your area...
3-12-07 LUGGNUTS RETURN TO VALDOSTA, GA A HUGE SUCCESS! Thanks to everyone who came out to The Rockin' Rodeo in Valdosta, GA this weekend to see the band make their long-awaited return back to South GA. It had been nearly two years since the band had been in town and we heard from a few people that this particular date wasn't going to be good because of Spring Break and one of the other biggest draws was already playing across town... Well those people were definitely wrong! We took the stage around 10:30 p.m. to a a packed house and the crowd only got bigger and bigger as the night went on. Thanks to everyone who came out to welcome the band back to town. At last count, there were over 700 people that had paid to get through the door. Not band for Spring Break huh?? As for the "other" band we were warned about...we were told they had a grand total of 20-30 people. Thanks to the staff at Rockin' Rodeo for everything. This place is now the home for the Luggnuts in Valdosta. The show was such a huge success, that the band has been asked to play 2 nights the next time we come to town. Mark your calendars now to join the Luggnuts on Thurs. April 19th and Fri. April 20th. See you there!

Tom's again in April. For those of you who can't wait until then, The Luggnuts will be returning back to the VFW in Jackson's Gap, AL on Sat. March 3rd!

Over the past few years, the band has received thousands of requests via e-mail, phone calls, and from live shows to release an album for sale. Unfortunately, due to our constant tour schedule, we have never been able to take the time and record what we feel would be a quality product. Well folks, the time has finally come! The Luggnuts are taking some time off in January to go in the studio and begin recording for the new album with an anticipated release date of mid-summer 2006. We are all very excited about this project and are currently in the process of teaming up with several top-notch organizations to help make this album a huge success! These guys rocked! The Luggnuts have also had the opportunity to return to Nashville, TN, as well as, Chapel Hill, NC over the past few weeks. I was great meeting a lot of new friends and we look forward to being back on both campuses in the Spring of '06. A huge thanks goes out to The Heather Hayes Band for opening the show for us in Chapel Hill. 7-11-05 LUGGNUTS FORCED TO EVACUATE PANAMA CITY We would like to start off by thanking everyone who came out to the Buck Wild Saloon on Thurs. and Fri. night to rock out with the Luggnuts. Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Dennis, we were forced to evacuate Panama City Beach immediately after Friday night's show. Nevertheless, we still had a great time and would like to say thank you to Stephen Joyner, Eddie, Dave, and the whole crew at the Buck Wild Saloon. These people really know how to treat a band and were great to us the entire duration of our visit! A big thank you also goes out to the band's very close friend, Bill Young, for making the trip with us as one of our sound engineers. It is nice to know that he still remembers the little guys when he is not touring with national acts! We pray that all of our friends along the coast remained safe throughout Hurricane Dennis and damage was kept at a minimal. We cannot wait to see all of you again very soon!
7-3-05 There definitely been a lot going on with The Luggnuts over the past few weeks. We would like to start off by thanking everyone who made the trip to The Pink Pony Pub in Gulf Shores, AL a few weeks back. It was great to reunite with a lot of old friends and make hundreds of new ones. We would also like to send out a big thank you to our friend Chris Hergenroder for coming down at last minute and filling in on guitar for the band on Saturday night. For those of you who don't know, Kane's mother suffered from a severe heart attack early that Saturday morning and Kane had to leave immediately to be with his family. Mrs. Bowden underwent surgery the following week and is now on a speedy road back to recovery. We all look forward to seeing you at a Luggnut show again very soon! The Luggnuts return home to The Gap this past Saturday was a huge success. This place was crazy from the second we took the stage! For hotel and all other info, please visit www.pinkponypub.net Also, many of you have e-mailed the band wanting to know where a few of the previous show's pictures were. We are expecting a sell-out crowd, so be sure to arrive early. You can count on this show being wild and crazy! Those of you who missed seeing two of the Luggnuts perform with national act McQueen Street last Friday missed one hell of a show! It was great to spend some time with a lot of old friends and fellow musicians, all for the benefit of Lance Lisenby; a fellow rocker who was involved in a tragic accident on New Year's. On Saturday, it was time to get back to business as we traveled down to Troy, AL to rock with Pi Kappa Phi. What a great show! The place was packed all night long with die-hard Luggnut fans. We look forward to seeing all again very soon.

1-11-04 A NEW ERA FOR THE LUGGNUTS!! As many of you already know, The Hogg Mtn. Lugg Nuts have been through many changes over the course of the last several months. The band has strived to reach the next level, and in doing so, has went through a few different member changes. Finally, we are proud to say that The Luggnuts have found the line-up they have been hoping for in order to reach that point and these guys are here to stay! There has been much anticipation and we have received countless e-mails from fans wanting to know exactly who was involved. Well Here Is The Moment You Have All Been Waiting For!! First, I am proud to introduce to you the new frontman of The Hogg Mtn. Lugg Nuts, Josh Brewer. All of you who have seen the band already know that Josh has been the drummer for the Luggnuts for the past several years. Upon Charles' retirement several months ago, many of you fans have since wrote in and shared your thoughts and how you would like to see Josh as the new frontman for the Luggnuts. Josh would typically get up front and sing and have fun with the crowd for about 30 min. during every show; apparently that was not enough! It has taken much convincing, but with a show and stage presence second to none, it is only fitting that Josh assume this duty. Taking his place behind the drums is the one and only, Pat Bailey. Pat, a former bass player for the Luggnuts, has always been a drummer at heart. As stated in one of the news sections dated earlier this year, most of you already recognize Pat from such 90's powerhouse bands as McQueen Street, Rat Race, Blind Ambition and Joshua Stone to name a few. A true veteran of the music scene, Pat's musical talent and dedication has become a huge asset to the band. NOW, also making his return to the Luggnuts on bass is Mr. Chris Lilly. By far one of the best bass players anywhere in the South, Chris is also a veteran of the music scene and has played with several top acts across the nation. Last But Certainly Not Least, is yet another former member of The Hogg Mtn. Lugg Nuts. On Guitar, Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you SUGAR KANE!! That's right, perhaps one of the baddest men of all time, Kane Bowden has come back home to The Luggnuts. We can safely say that this will be one show you will definitely not want to miss!! This is one of the Luggnuts strongest line-up's ever and will keep you begging for more! We have made a few changes to the songlist that will keep the show "in your face" all night long. You can view the updated list from the homepage on the website. We will be adding more in the next few days. Also, in the very near future, you can expect to see a completely revamped website with tons of new merchandise and all other types of info. January and February calendars should be posted within the next day or two. Be sure to check out the pics. from last week of the new line-up.
11-18-04 IRON BOWL WEEKEND & THANKSGIVING WEEK No doubt the biggest weekend of the year for everyone in Alabama. This year's Auburn/Alabama game will be held in Tuscaloosa, AL and The Hogg Mtn. Lugg Nuts will be there both Friday and Saturday. We will kick things off earlier in the week with Zeta and KA at the Univ. of South Carolina on Thursday Nov. 18th. On Friday we make our way over to Tuscaloosa to the Delta Chi house. Saturday, we travel a few blocks down the road to the ATO house. These will be two shows that you will definitely not want to miss! We hope to see all of you Auburn fans that make the trip up to Tuscaloosa. Meridian, MS get ready! Yours truly, The Hogg Mtn. Lugg Nuts will be returning to HOJO's on Monday Nov. 22nd - Saturday Nov. 27th. If you have never experienced HOJO's, you are really missing out! This would be the perfect time for a road trip! We have got several e-mails wondering if the band was going to take the stage on Thanksgiving night and the answer is YES. We will be Rocking Out every night Mon.-Sat. Looks like it is going to be another Thanksgiving dinner at the Waffle House for the Luggnuts! For directions and hotel info, please call 601-483-8281. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
10-13-04 LUGGNUTS & DIERKS BENTLEY!! Be sure to check out the photos page for a few of the pics we were able to post of the Luggnuts hanging out with Dierks Bentley after the show Tuesday night in Oxford, MS. He is one extremely talented artist who is out touring rigorously to promote his album. This is a show you definitely do not want to miss if he is ever in a city near you! Thanks to Dierks, his band, management team, Capitol Records, and to the CMT film crew for their courtesy toward the Luggnuts.
10-13-04 The band has had some really great shows the past few weeks. We made our long-awaited return to Clemson, SC and had the opportunity to reunite with a lot of old friends. A big Thank You goes out to all of you fans in South Carolina who always show the Luggnuts a good time. The band also made its first ever appearance at Adrian's in Guntersville, AL last week ; Very cool place that will hopefully turn into a big market for the band. From Guntersville, we headed back down to Auburn, AL for homecoming weekend at the SAE house. Always a great show! From Auburn, it was up to Tuscaloosa to party with the girls of Delta Zeta. We hope to see all of you this Fri. and Sat. back in T-Town. Last night we ventured over to Oxford, MS for an all out 80's party. The show went great, however, getting to the show was a different story. While traveling down the highway, we hear a very loud, thunderous noise and look back to see that the fender from our trailer has somehow come off and is flying through the air. Cars begin to swarm in every direction off the highway trying to avoid getting hit, but unfortunately there was nothing that could be done. As the fender comes down and slams into the pavement a few unlucky motorists run right over it. Luckily for us though, they were very cool about the situation and didn't threaten to kill us for tearing up their vehicles. However, in the process of the huge piece of metal flying off our trailer, it managed to slash both of our tires and leave us completely stranded. So now we were forced to jack the trailer up on the side of the highway, take both blown tires off, leave a couple of the guys behind with the trailer to make sure everything is ok, and head on a mission to find two new tires and in a hurry in order to be able to make the show. A few hours later we return and are back on the road again. Then, to top things off, all of the trailer lights go out and we are left driving through Mississippi without any lights at all in the dark. Thankfully, we didn't pass any police or maybe they just didn't see us! We finally arrive in Oxford, MS just in time for the show and ending up having a great time. We hope to see all of you Ole Miss fans again real soon! Be sure to check out the photos page for all of the pics from this trip.
9-21-04 CHANGE IN THIS WEEK'S SCHEDULE There has been a change in this week's schedule. The Luggnuts will now be at The Brew Pub in Montgomery, AL this Friday and Saturday. Please visit www.thebrewpub.info for directions and hotel information. We look forward to seeing everyone at The Brew Pub this weekend! 9-20-04 September has been quite a month so far for the Luggnuts. We started the month off with a bang at The Highlands in Auburn, AL and then moved our way up to Tuscaloosa to party with the guys from Phi Kappa Psi. From Tuscaloosa, it was over to Baton Rouge, LA to the Kappa Sig house. Talk about one wild show! We had a great time and look forward to being back again real soon. Upon leaving Louisiana, we decided to take a band trip over to Biloxi, MS on Sunday for a day of gambling and to have a little fun on the beach; not to mention the unlimited free drinks and all you can eat buffets! After returning home and getting a few days rest, it was now time to do it all over again. This time we were off to Murfreesboro, TN to the SAE house. We took the stage at about 11:00 p.m. that night to a packed house. Unfortunately, at exactly 12:00 a.m. the cops showed up and shut the party down due to a noise ordinance. Sorry guys, hopefully we will have better luck next time. After getting everything loaded up, it was time to hit the road for a 500 mile ride down to Valdosta, GA. All of you Valdosta fans definitely made the ride worth while. The Luggnuts would like to thank the band Gladden Lane out of Tallahassee, FL for opening the show up for us. It was also good to see and hang out with a close friend of the band, Laney Strickland. If you haven't heard of this guy by now, we definitely have a problem. Be sure to visit The Laney Strickland Band on the web at www.laneymusic.com. This past week is where things began to get interesting. We were scheduled to play 4 shows but Hurricane Ivan had other plans as we ending up having to re-schedule a couple of the dates. However, there was one place that was not going to let anything get in their way of partying: Auburn, AL. Upon school being cancelled for the rest of the week, we picked up a last minute show at The Highlands on Tuesday and then made our return to the SAE house on Friday for Auburn/LSU weekend. As always, this was one huge party with no-one who had any intentions of leaving as we continued to play into the wee hours of the morning. We look forward to seeing all of you again at the SAE house October 8th. Be sure to check out the photos page for all the updated pics. and check back often for more updates on the band.
7-06-04 Well, Summer is definitely here and things are continuing to move in full force for the Luggnuts. It's been a while since the last update, so let me catch you up on what's been going on in the band. I would like to start off by introducing you to the two newest members of The Hogg Mtn. Lugg Nuts: Mr. Derek Jackson and Craig Hunter. Many of you already know Derek from his previous band, Slippery Jack, and from seeing him on the road with us starting back in the Spring. He has always been a very close friend of the Luggnuts and made the decision a few months ago to go on the road full-time with the band. His keyboard playing and vocals have been a great addition to the Hogg Mtn. Lugg Nuts. We would also like to welcome the newest member of the Hogg Mtn. Lugg Nuts, Craig Hunter. Many of you might also recognize Craig from his other band, Fast Voice. With the departure of Sugar Kane on guitar, Craig has been forced to fill some big shoes very quickly and seems to be fitting right in with the band. Also, as many of you already know, the Luggnuts brought Pat Bailey into the lineup playing bass in January 2004. Most of you have recognized Pat's face from such 90's powerhouse bands as McQueen Street, Rat Race, Blind Ambition, and Joshua Stone to name a few. A true veteran of the music scene, Pat's musical talent and dedication has become a huge asset to the band and we are very lucky to have him with us. The shows have continued to be great for the band over the past few weeks. We would like to thank everyone who made the trip over to Choctaw, MS to see the Luggnuts make their debut at The Hard Rock Beach Club. This place is a great venue for live music and entertainment and we look forward to being back again real soon. It was also great to see all of you Auburn fans a couple of weeks back at The Highlands. You guys never cease to amaze us! We honestly didn't know what to expect with it being the middle of summer, but the crowd was overwhelming! We will see all of you back in Auburn at The Highlands in August. We also had six great shows last week at HOJO's in Meridian, MS. I swear, the people in Meridian love to party every night of the week! Thanks to all of you who came out each and every night last week to watch the band. We look forward to seeing all of you again August 9th-14th. This Week's Schedule: This Friday, the Hogg Mtn. Lugg Nuts will be making their first appearance at Club Xtreme in Albany, GA. Albany has always been a great town to the band, dating back to the days of The Cabstand. This will be a show you do not want to miss! Saturday, the Luggnuts head over to Montgomery, AL to Michael's Pub. It's been a while since our last show at Michael's and we hope to see everyone there.

I know it may be hard to believe, but we can actually tame ourselves a little and keep the show half-way clean! All in All, this month to date has been really amazing for the band. From new endorsements to sold- out shows, we even found ourselves playing a 20,000+ seat arena last week! Does it get any better than this? This is a very exciting time for the band as we are in the middle of negotiations with several different companies for new sponsorships and endorsements. We will be posting more details about this in the near future. In the mean time, the band would like to congratulate Josh on his new endorsement with Silver Fox Percussion and Grover Pro Percussion. Josh has had this endorsement for some time now, but has just recently been offered a chance to have his own Josh Brewer Signature Stick line. That's right, in about a month, drumsticks with Josh's autograph engraved into them will be available nation-wide thanks to Silver Fox Percussion. LUGGNUTS RETURN TO MERIDIAN, MS! Thanks to everyone who came out to see the show and we look forward to being back again real soon. OK, now on to Friday night which was no different. 9-22-03 FINALLY, AN UPDATE ON WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON WITH THE LUGGNUTS! Many of you have requested that we update the NEWS section of the website more frequently, so that is exactly what we are doing. First off, I would like to apologize to any of you who might have experienced difficulties accessing our website over the past few days. We had a few problems with our server, but hopefully everything has been squared away and is back to normal. With that being said, what a week it has been for The Luggnuts! We kicked things off this past Friday night at The Highlands in Auburn, AL. I swear, you fans in Auburn never let us down. At last count, over 1,000 people had packed through the doors to see the show that night. Saturday night, the band made its debut at Rope's in Sylacauga, AL. Once again, all of you Luggnut fans showed up in full force. The band played to a packed house all night long and felt right at home. A big thanks goes out to Jim and Lewis for the hospitality they showed towards the band. It's guys like you that help make our job a lot easier and it is greatly appreciated. Also, Hogg Mtn. 2-24-03 I know it's been a while since we've had an update, so here's what's been going on with the band this past month: WE'VE FINALLY GOT OUR BUS BACK!! After being in the shop part of January and almost the entire month of February, we got the 'ole luggnut back this week. I couldn't tell you how many times we were told: "it will be fixed tomorrow" or "you can pick it up on friday!" Nevertheless, we're just happy to be back riding in our bus. Thank God we do not have to endure the agony of riding in a ryder truck and piece of sh*t van that can't even go an hour down the road without blowing out at least two tires anymore! I think we bought about 8 tires for that van over the period of a month. Other than that, we've had many great shows this month. We packed in over 1,000 people at The Highlands a few weeks back and as always had a great time. We will be returning to The Highlands on March 14th. Also, The Luggnuts made their first appearance at Rick's Cafe in Starkville, MS this month. The show went great and we look forward to being back again real soon. Rick also owns another huge rock n roll venue in Tuscaloosa, AL called The Jupiter, where many of you have seen The Luggnuts before. Be sure to visit both of his clubs on the web at: www.rickscafe.net and www.jupiteronthestrip.com This past weekend was also a blast! We started things off on Friday at The Tavern in Lake Park, GA. Great food, centerfold girls, and Josh in a pink flamingo g-string: What more can you ask for?? We don't get the chance to be in this area very often, but when we do, you better believe things are going to be wild! Saturday, we traveled down to the beautiful Destin, FL to party with the Sig Ep's from GA Tech Univ. We had a great time and hope to see all of you at The Peachtree Tavern in Atlanta, GA on March 19th. Sunday, we had a short ride down the road to Pensacola, FL for the annual Capt'n Fun Mardi Gras Ball. As expected, this party was in a league of its own! Bright Lights, Limo's, Television Crews, Radio Stations, and even a few celebrities... you name it and it was there! A huge thanks goes out to Tom for making sure the band was taken care of at all times. We look foward to being back at Capt'n Fun again real soon.
1-27-03 I would like to start out by welcoming back the one, the only, Scott Kendall (a.k.a. Rev. Pimp Daddy) to the band! Scott is an original member of The Hogg Mtn. Lugg Nuts and I know a lot of people are very excited about seeing him back on the road with us again. With that being said, lets move on to this past weekend. We kicked things off Friday in Statesboro, GA at the Sigma Chi house. Man, do these guys know how to throw a party! You know it is going to be a good show when the place is packed during load-in and sound-check. Not to mention the great hospitality they showed towards the band. We had a great time and look forward to being back again real soon. Saturday night we traveled to Gatlinburg, TN to play for Sigma Nu from the Univ. of South Carolina. This was their annual mountain weekend party and we had a great time. Even got to see some snow! These guys literally knew how to Rock Out With You Cock Out! I'm still having nightmares about the guy doing jumping jacks on the stage naked! You know you've accomplished something when you scare one of the guys in this band! In all honesty, we felt right at home (at least this time we didn't have to worry about us getting fired for being naked). Unfortunately, the cops showed up during our second set and forced us to quit playing. Apparently people in Gatlinburg, TN don't like to party 'till 4 a.m. They act like it's a family town or something! All in all, it was another great show and we can't wait to be back again. However, there were a few complications while on the way to both of the shows. I guess you could call this Road Trip from Hell #2. To begin with our bus was in the process of being worked on and wasn't going to be ready in time, so we had to rent a truck and a van. Well, it was real cold Thurs. night and as we were about to leave Fri. morning to go to the show, the van wouldn't start. After a 2 hour delay, we were up and running and back on the road. About 20 miles into the trip, the van blows out a tire. Our luck! At least this is only a minor set-back and we put the spare tire on. This cured all the problems temporarily. On the way to the show Saturday, the same tire blows out again! To make matters worse, we had already put the spare on from the first blow-out. Finally, we found a local tire store and purchased a brand new tire and made our way back to the interstate where the van had broken down so we could change the tire and be back on our way. By this time it was starting to get dark and was very cold. In fact, it was so cold that the mountain roads had frozen over and were solid ice! However, we were determined to make this show on time and luckily we did. After the show, we figured we better not push our luck on the icy roads, so we decided to spend the night. After a few hours of much needed rest we were on our way back home, but not before a big Cracker Barrell breakfast. It's amazing what a Moma's Pancake Breakfast will do for a guy! Until next time... Rock Out With Your Cock Out!
12-12-02 CHRISTMAS WEEKEND AND NEW YEAR'S EVE AT THE RODEO CLUB!! Make plans now to join us Christmas weekend and New Year's Eve at The World Famous Rodeo Club in Dadeville, AL. If you missed us there Thanksgiving weekend, be sure not to make the same mistake twice! Did I mention that the Miller light girls will be there? That's right, things will for sure be getting wild in the back room of the Rodeo Club the 27th-28th of Dec. and again on New Year's Eve. All shows are 21+ and seating is limited so be sure to arrive early. For directions, call (256) 825-7503.
9-23-02 ROAD TRIP FROM HELL !! We started the week off great on Thursday night at The Jupiter in Tuscaloosa, AL. It was our first time there and we had a blast! The Jupiter is the sister club to Rick's Cafe in Starkville, MS, both of which are known for having only the best bands on the circuit. Rick and Mark are definitely two of the best guys we have ever had the privilege of working with. It's hard to find people that appreciate bands and the live music scene like these guys do. We look forward to being back again real soon! Be sure to check them out on the web at www.jupiteronthestrip.com and also at www.rickscafe.net Friday, we traveled a few blocks down the road to the Sigma Chi house at the Univ. of AL. These guys really know how to throw a party! It was another great show and we had tons of fun as always in T-Town! Ok, now here is where the trip gets very interesting! We get to our hotel room about 6 a.m. Sat. morning after the show at the Sigma Chi house. At 10 a.m. we wake up and hit the road on our way to Baton Rouge, LA. We make a few stops, eat lunch, and everything is perfectly normal until we enter Louisiana at approx. 4 p.m. All of the sudden we begin to encounter these Hurricane rain storms that last for about 30 min. We get out of the rain and see a road sign that reads "Baton Rouge 60 miles." About 2 min. later, we hear a very loud BOOM which just happened to be our bus that had blown-out a tire. It is now about 4:30 p.m. and we call the first wrecker. He says he can change bus tires and will be there in just a second. WRONG! We wait, wait, and wait even longer until about 6 p.m. and there is still no wrecker! However, there had been about 3 State Troopers that stopped by, but obviously didn't care too much about our situation and left us stranded without even helping us find a tel. # to a different wrecker. Finally, about 6:45 p.m., we found a # for Jake's Wrecker Service in Covington, LA. A guy by the name of C.J. answered the phone. He put us in touch with a different wrecker that could come out and change the tire on our bus. The only problem was that it was going to be an hour and a half before they could get there. I explained to C.J. our situation and told him how we were supposed to play a show at 9 p.m. in Baton Rouge. Unbelievably, he offered to bring his tow truck, pick up our trailer, and tow it to Baton Rouge. Not only that, but he was going to get his girlfriend to bring her car and let the band ride with her! So they arrive about 7:45 p.m. and we unhook the trailer from the bus, grab our clothes, and pile up in the tow truck a car and we are on our way to Baton Rouge. It is now about 8:30 p.m. I call the Fraternity and explain to them the situation and they are amazingly cool and understand. As soon as I hang up the phone, C.J. gets a call on his cell. It's his girlfriend that is following right behind us with the rest of the band. She had also blown-out a tire. After some lightning speed tire changing, we are once again on our way. Finally, about 10p.m. we arrive at the show. We set up as quick as possible and get ready to take the stage to a packed house. We had left our soundman, Nicky, with the bus and the plan was for him to bring it and meet us as soon as the tire was on. So, I call him to see where he is and he informs me that yes, the tire is on the bus, but no, the bus will not start up. Apparently, when we blew out the tire, it punctured one of the sensors up under the bus. At this point, there is nothing we can do. We play the show without a soundman, not to mention being completely exhausted. I checked in with Nicky throughout the night, and things were not looking pretty. It appeared that the bus was just not going to start up. After the show we started trying to find some way to get a ride an hour down the road back to our bus, so that Nicky wouldn't be left alone on the interstate. Unfortunately, the tow truck had already left and there was no way that we could find somewhere in the middle of the night to us rent a U-Haul or a van with a hitch to get our equipment and our trailer back with us. We were completely stranded! At 5 a.m. I receive a phone call from Nicky saying that the bus is running and he is on the way! Thank God! He arrives about 6 a.m., we sleep for a few hours, load up the equipment, and start our 12 hour journey back home. Luckily, we made it home about midnight Sunday night without any more problems. C.J. thanks for all your help! You're a lifesaver! If you ever need anything just let us know. Hopefully we will not ever have any more stories like this to tell again!

5-28-02 MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND BLOWOUT! What a way to kick off the Summer! Memorial Day Weekend + Gulf Shores,AL + The Hogg Mtn. Lugg Nuts + New Silver Eagle Tour Bus + Bikini contest: Is this Heaven? We hit the road last week in our new Silver Eagle on the way to Gulf Shores, AL for Memorial Day weekend at Kokomo's. This was our second time at Kokomo's ( 1st time was during Spring Break) so we knew that this was going to be one wild week. Our first show was Thurs. night which turned out one of our biggest crowds ever in Gulf Shores. The place was packed wall to wall all night long! Amazingly, each night brought out larger and larger crowds until we had a waiting line outside of the club just to get in! Sunday afternoon was the highlight of the week with the annual Bikini/ Hardbody contest, which as always was a crowd pleaser. Sunday night was our last of four nights at Kokomo's and once again the place was packed wall to wall. Crowds like that made it very easy for us to put on our top show! We look forward to being back in August.
4-22-02 MTV PARTY W/ THE LUGGNUTS! That's Right! MTV Networks came out to party with the Hogg Mtn. Lugg Nuts this past Saturday at the Beta house in Tuscaloosa, AL. Apparently they are doing a new show and are traveling around college campuses and everyone knows there is no better way to kick things off than with The Luggnuts. The premiere date is set for July 2002 so be sure to look for us. From what we can tell, it is going to be a reality-based show; I guess kind of like the real world/road rules. We will be posting more information about the show as we receive it. As always, the Beta house threw a great party and made sure the band was taken care of. Thanks Guys! SUNDAY NIGHT: THE LUGGNUTS ROCK THE DOCK IN JACKSON, MS For some time now, The Hogg Mtn. Lugg Nuts have been waiting for a chance to prove themselves at The Dock in Jackson, MS. Finally, our chance came and we responded with full force! The show went great and the whole staff was overwhelmingly nice. For those of you who are not familiar with The Dock, it is one of the premiere music venues in the United States and is home to many national acts such as Vince Neil, Sebastian Bach, RATT, and many, many more. We went over so well that we have already booked another show set for LABOR DAY WEEKEND. We take this as a great compliment and look forward to working with The Dock team from here on. Be sure to check their website out at www.dockrocker.com!
4-14-02 The last couple of weeks have been very hectic for the Luggnuts. We wrapped up Spring Break 2002 at Kokomo's in Gulf Shores, AL. This was our first appearance at Kokomo's and certainly will not be the last! We look forward to being back Memorial Day weekend. The next Saturday night brought us back to The Blue Room in Auburn, AL. This has become a very rapidly growing market for the Luggnuts. Thanks to Pat and Dan ( Blue Room owners) for their tremendous amount of support for the band and for helping us become one of the hottest tickets around Auburn. We kicked things off this past Thurs. night at a place called Mickey's Par III in Hammond, LA. This was also a brand new club for the Luggnuts and I must say this place kicks a$$! Johnny is definitely one of the coolest guys we have ever had the privilege of working with. We look forward to being back again real soon! From Louisiana, we traveled a few hours down the road to Mobile, AL to take the stage at the St. Paul's High School Prom. Since it was a school function, we toned the show down a little from the usual. I don't think the Principal and Staff would have appreciated us getting naked! Needless to say, we had a great time! If everything works out, we will be returning next year for the Homecoming celebration. Saturday night we returned to the Theta Chi house at the Univ. of AL. These guys really know how to party! There were people literally hanging from the rafters! The show was supposed to end at 2 a.m. but no one had any intention on leaving! We found ourselves in front of a packed house yelling for one more song. Never to let our fans down, we took the stage once again for what look to be an all-nighter. Unfortunately about a half hour later the cops showed up and shut us down. Anyway, we look forward to being back again in the fall! The Hogg Mtn. Lugg Nuts are proud new owners of a Silver Eagle Tour Bus. We have finally become what we like to call Bus-Billionaires! Stay tuned for more info...
3-25-02 What a way to kick off spring break! We arrived into Destin, FL extra early Friday morning expecting to have some "fun in the sun" before it was time to sound check at the club later that afternoon. Boy were we wrong! What had been 80-90 degree weather all week long had drastically dropped to 40 degree weather overnight. Our Luck! So we decided to get some much needed rest and be lazy until show time. The show Friday night went great, with one exception: Our digital camera died! Sorry everyone but we will not be able to post any of the pics. from Nightown. Saturday the weather was much warmer and we were able to enjoy ourselves outside during the day. We spent pretty much all day long at an amusement park racing go-carts on the slick-track. This was not your average go-cart track. The whole track was greased down and very slippery. I guess you could say it was more like a demolition derby! The whole band is now slick-track addicts! The show Saturday night was amazing. We arrived close to show time to find about 50 familiar faces from Valdosta, GA that had driven up for the show. Now that is what I call true fans! It was also great to see all the people from Auburn, AL that were there to show their support. Thanks to whole Nightown staff for their hospitality. We look forward to being back real soon!

| Thanks to everyone who came
out to Sammy T's last Friday night. It was great to see a lot of old
friends that made the trip. A BIG THANK YOU also goes out to Sam
Taylor and his staff for always making us feel at home. These are some
of the nicest people that we have ever had the opportunity to work with! Saturday night brought us back to Auburn, AL to party with the guys from Sigma Pi. It was our first time playing for these guys and man do they know how to throw a party! Adam Hood opened the show that afternoon with an acoustic performance. If you haven't had the privilege of hearing this guy around Auburn, you are really missing out! By nightfall, only one question remained: "Are You Guys Ready to Rock"? As a packed house stood screaming, we took the stage for a night of fun-filled rock-n-roll. Thanks to all of you at the Sigma Pi house for your hospitality. We look forward to being back next fall!
2-18-02 WOW!! What an unbelievable week it was for the Luggnuts! We started things off a little early last week at the BLUE ROOM in Auburn, AL for Fat Tuesday. As always, a few thousand people packed through the doors to watch us share the stage with Trotline. Thanks to all of the hometown folks who came out to support us! On Friday, we made our way to REMINGTON'S in Starkville, MS. This is one of the hottest new clubs in the Southeast. People were literally kicking down doors to get in! Once again, we found ourselves performing in front of 1000+ people. This place has definitely made its way onto the Luggnut favorites! After playing two of the biggest rooms in the Southeast, we traveled down to Albany, GA for another stop at The Cabstand. It was our first time playing at The Cabstand on a Saturday night, so we really didn't know what to expect. (Saturday nights were formerly known as "country" night.) The first set found us playing a few country favorites for the cowboys in the audience. However, when we took the stage for the second set it was time to rock-n-roll, or as we like to say "Rock Out With Your Cock Out!!" This ended up being one of our biggest nights ever at The Cabstand. We hope to see everyone there again real soon! Three high energy shows like these only brings one thing to mind: As Joan Jett once said: "I Love Rock N Roll!" Be sure to check out the photo page, sign the guest book, and join the Hogg Mountain Lugg Nuts mailing list!
